Well it seems like ages since I have posted anything. Life is busy with 2 kids growing up so fast. Jacob is in grade 10 this year and Katherine is in grade 7. So far so good for school. Now back to the title. 

Jacob has moved on to Venturers in Scouts while Katherine stays with me and the scout troup. I sure miss Jacob at Scouts but he is enjoying the experience with the other group as it’s much more peer based with only a little adult supervision. 

However, we all got to go to Alert last weekend. It’s a event where Scouts do challenges that test them on a number of Scouting skills. Katherine and her team started at noon and worked straight until 11pm and then back up at 4:00am to finish the tasks. Jacob’s team started at noon as well but went until 4am before crashing. As I said the kids are very competitive!

Overall they did well and Katherine’s team came in 3rd out of a very tough field of competitors.
