News from the Front

Things have been busy in the household.  We are trying to get a playroom finished downstairs before the upstairs part of the house is destroyed by the two little gremlins that like to wreak havoc on walls and floors.  It will also be a good spot to store some of the toys.  It is amazing how much the kids have received from people in their short life time.  But that is kids and we would not have it any other way.

Jacob continues to do very well in school.  The teachers say he is a bit of a class clown and likes to make jokes as much as possible.  He is also very good with the other children and they all want to be his friend.  His language skills are progressing very well and he is becoming very creative in his thought processes.

Katherine is doing great too.  She sleeps through the night 95% of the time and what more could one ask at this age.  Oh, she also thinks she can talk … and talk, talk, talk she does.  Only one problem.  It is not english.  She is very assertive and can get quite mad if she does not get her way.  (sounds like her Mom).  We are going to have our hands full with her later on.  Jacob is going to have to start lifting weights to keep up with her.

We had a nice visit from Wayne and Wilma on the weekend for Easter.  Laura Jayne made a scrumptious pork loin and Wilma made a fruity desert flambe thingy.  Lots of good food and drink.

The next morning we had a massive Easter hunt in the house.  Katherine and Jacob were screaming their heads off as they tried to find the eggs.  We have it on video and I will try and get some footage up.

We are now preparing for the arrival of Grandma and Grandpa Fournier for the first week of May.  They are coming for Jacob’s 4th birthday.  big surprise
