Well I had a great visit with Shelley and the kids.  I got there on Friday afternoon and sat on the steps for a while until Shelley arrived.  The kids were sure excited to see me.  They all came running up and gave me a big hug.

Dave got home and we took the kids swimming while Shelley got dinner ready.  They swim at a local senior home.  Great program for the kids.  Shelley had a great dinner for us when we got home.  They even made me a nice birthday cake and sang me happy birthday.  It was awesome.

I played games with the kids that night and listened to Meagan read me a bed time story.  Matthew camped out in the bed beside me and we read for an hour before bed.

Saturday, Shelley and I and the kids went to a quarry about an hour away to plant trees as part of a cub scouts land reclaimation program.  We planted a number of trees and altogther the group would plant over 5,000 trees.  Emily and I planted some Tim Horton Tim Bit “seeds” and are both hoping for big Tim Bit trees.

I took care of the kids when I got home while Shelley got ready for the party that nightt.  It was a 40th birthday party for Dave.  Taking care of three kids sure is hard.  I learned that you can keep your eyes on 2 but 3 is impossible.  Once Shelley left it only took 30 seconds for chaos to ensue.

We had blast at Dave’s party and their friends are really nice.  I got to see some old friends form Montreal.  (Graham who was best friends with Ben).  Dave got some very interesting presents. Ask him about the toy dog.  We were up pretty late and Dave had to finish his motorcylce course the next day in 1 degree and raining weather.  At least he had his nice new shiny helemt on (inside joke for Shelley).

It was a sad day on Sunday when I left and both Emily and Meagan cried.  I think Meagan had a crush on me.  That should change in a few years!
