Thankfully the weather has finally turned nice and its warm.  It was a long cold winter this year.  However, what can you expect.  We do live in Canada after all.  Things have been very busy with the new job and I am doing a lot of travel around Atlantic Canada.  I am usually away 2-3 days per week.  This should help build up the airline points so we can travel to see people. Speaking of such, I did get to go to Ottawa a few weeks ago and saw Mom and Dad.  Dad and I spent the weekend building a deck on the back part of the house.  We also got to play one round of golf.  It was 24 degrees out yet Dad managed to drive his ball left of the green into a pile of snow.  First time I have ever seen a save attempt from a snow pile!

Dad just got out of the hospital this week and is doing well.  He had to have agioplasty surgery and had 2 splints inserted into one of his arteries. He also has to go back on Warffin to combat a blood clot.  However, he is in good spirits and says he feels more energy already.

Laura Jayne just got back from Florida.  She took a week off and went down South with her sister and parents for a well deserved little rest.  Six years of looking after the kids without a major break!  She went to the Keys and then over to Orlando.  She looks nice and tanned and well rested.  I looked after the kids for the week.  We had a blast and it was great to spend some quality time with them. During the week, I only get to see them for an hour a day.  They are turning out to be great kids and Jacob is really becoming a little “man”.

We had Jacob’s 6th birthday party as well.  He and his friends went to a build a bear childrens play store.  They each got to choose their “bears”, stuff them with cotton and dress them up. I will try and get some new photos up this weekend.
