Grandma Fournier’s Visit
It was a sad day today. Mom left to go back to Ottawa today after a great visit. Although Jacob was shy at the start with her, they bonded quite well. Jacob kept asking “Where’s Grandma” after she left.
We spent a lot of time outdoors. The weather was fantastic for most of the days. We went for long “skating” walks on the lake. I think Jacob will be playing hockey since he loved playing with the kids that were on the ice. I have some good photos of him holding a hockey stick that I will get up later on the site. Casey also had a blast chasing the puck and then being chased by the kids when he caught it.
We also had Kie (Mom’s brother) and Mrs. MacKenzie over dinner. Mom made a great Pork Wellington and a wicked chocolate cake for dinner. I think Kie scared the heck out of Jacob at the start but by the end of the evening, Kie was a “funny” but “naughty” man.
I think that Mom fell in love with Katherine as well. She helped out a lot in carrying her around the house to quiet her down. She loves to be held and walked around to check out all the different sites and sounds.
Katherine is growing quite well. She is a really good baby and is starting to smile a lot. Laura Jayne is still not getting much sleep but it is improving.
All for now. I will get some pics up later this week.
