Jacob and I spent the day yesterday at the Halifax air show held at the Shearwater Air Base. It was everything a boy could want – big and loud. We saw huge planes, tanks, rockets and flight manouevers with jets that blew your mind and your ears. The Hornet from the US was doing 700 mph which is only half speed. (sonic boom happens at 750 thus the half speed). It is amazing watching the jet move with full after burners on. I will get more photos up later once I get them off the video camera.

Jacob had a great day. When I asked him if he would like to be in the army, he said “no way. I don’t want to be killed”. After all the gun holding, its good to see he is still sensible.
