Jacob gained 55 grams last night.  His biggest gain yet!  They also tried to put a new central line in his arm today. The same thing happened as before, it curled under his arm.  They pulled it back a bit and hope that it will relocate to the right spot.  Otherwise if this does not work, they have to perform a cut down where they make an incision, pull the vein down and insert the catheter.  it sounds worst than it is and it usually works quite well.  Keep your fingers crossed!

He is actually starting to look like baby.  His cheeks are filling out quite nicely and he now has a double chin.  I think he is starting to look a bit like Jabba the Hut from Star Wars.  Oh well, you have to keep your sense of humour through all of this.  His oxygen levels are still up a bit and he still needs the CPAP (nasal ventilator) to keep the right pressure in his lungs so that it is easier to breath. They took this from a 5 to a four to wean him off and it does look like he is working a bit harder to breathe but it is good exercise.
