Jacob had another good day yesterday and gained 15 grams of weight.  He was out for about an hour without a ventilator on he was opening his eyes quite wide and recognized Mom.  We are hoping that we will be able to hold him shortly without all the blankets etc.  This “skin to skin” holding is supposed to dramatically increase growth and help a baby lower its heart and respiratory rate.  I am going to take the afternoon off and spend it with Jacob.  Wayne lent us his digital camera so I should be able to upload some pictures for you tonight.  Note that I have added new pictures (check the Media Gallery)
